Carrie Underwood is undoubtedly one of the industry’s most seasoned performers when it comes to live television. While the superstar has performed on countless award shows and television specials over the years, she admits she still gets butterflies before taking the stage. Carrie says the “ACMs will be no different.”
“I’m sure I will be nervous before, ’cause I’m always nervous before award shows,” Underwood shares. “I am performing new music, but I bet it’ll be the same amount of nervousness performing ‘Good Girl’ there. At least they’ve heard it on the radio for a bit now and kind of know what to expect.”
“This is definitely a rockin’ song,” she continues. “I just want my first television performance of the song to be awesome. So, I am gonna be nervous.”
There’s nothing wrong with being nervous though, Carrie understands that.
“It means I care,” she says.
In addition to performing, Underwood is a double ACM Awards nominee. She’s up for Female Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for “Remind Me,” her chart-topping duet with Brad Paisley.
